Home Made Electrolyte Water

Yields1 Serving

It’s essential to replenish electrolytes when playing sports, spending time in the sun, and after sweat-inducing exercise. The downside to traditional sports drinks is the amount of sugar (or chemicals in the sugar-free variety). Luckily there’s an easy way to make a tasty drink that will replenish electrolytes and satisfy your thirst.

¼ tsp Concentrace- Trace Mineral Drops
 2 Ginger
 1 Lemon
 1 l Water
1

Bring 1 Litre of water to a boil on the stove and then turn it off (or heat it in a kettle).

2

Cut ginger into sticks and add to the hot water. The heat will encourage the ginger flavour to be left behind in the water. Cut the lemon in half and juice one side and add the liquid to your water.

3

Cut the other side into rounds and add to your water bottle. Once the water is cooled, add the Concentrace, and it’s ready to drink.

4

Note: for a fruity variety, use oranges, limes, strawberries, or any fruit you like. Instead of heating, let the water sit overnight to absorb the fruit flavours.
