Homemade Margarine Spread

This easy to make spread is a healthy alternative to margarine (without the hydrogenated fat and chemicals). Use this on toast, pancakes, or to top cooked vegetables. Because this spread contains olive oil it is not recommended for high heat cooking.

 1 lb Unsalted organic butter
 ½ cup Coconut oil
 1.50 cups Extra virgin olive oil

Soften butter at room temperature until it is easy to work with.

Melt coconut oil until it becomes liquid.

Combine butter, olive oil and coconut oil in a mixing bowl and beat together with a hand mixer (or in the food processer) until combined.

Store at room temperature in a glass jar or container.

Tip: Add your favourite herbs for a flavourful twist on the original.
